AI Agents Digest - Monthly Edition

Startup ideas, CRM Automation, Frameworks, ChatGPT - Free?, and No-Code Agent Builders

Sorry I missed the Wednesday version of our regular weekly email. This is only our third ever newsletter, so let’s try out something different - a monthly wrapped version where we cover the top 5 popular posts and projects for the month and highlight the ones that were posted this week.

Let me know what you think about this version or if you prefer the regular weekly version.

Special Announcements

We’re having our third ever AMA next week on February 4th! This time with Amar Kanagaraj from Protecto. They’re working on AI Data Security and recently raised a 5M seed round. Check it out here —> https://www.reddit.com/r/AI_Agents/comments/1idtmg2/feb_4_2025_ama_w_amar_kanagaraj_founder_and_ceo/

  1. 22 Startup Ideas for AI Agents

    1. There’s a bunch of ideas listed, feel free to take one

    2. My highlight this time? #5: AI detecting wasted compute across cloud providers.

    3. Why? There are whole multimillion ARR companies built around this, and doing this well will do more than earn you tons of money, it will be good for the planet.

  2. An Agent that Eliminates CRM Work

    1. This is really written like an AI, but the community likes it

    2. It also makes a lot of sense, sifting through CRMs is pretty boring and takes a long time

  3. Frameworks for Agentic AI

    1. Honestly this is one of the FAQ that gets asked in this subreddit by beginners. “What framework(s) should I use?” …

    2. They list eight frameworks with the top three being LangChain, LangGraph, and CrewAI

    3. Personally, I’d put LlamaIndex over LangGraph (because LangGraph is built on LangChain anyway)

  4. Question: What’s the best no-code agent builder?

    1. Not my forte because I typically use Python to write agents

    2. Named: Gumloop, n8n, and Flowise

  5. ChatGPT could soon be free?

    1. Lots of controversy on this one - someone even reported it for spam but I think there’s value here. It’s written like a marketing/AI post with a misleading title

    2. The cool thing to note is that this post was made BEFORE the DeepSeek hype so this guy was onto something

    3. The core essence is that NVIDIA is beating Moore’s law, and ChatGPT tokens could drop in price by 97%

Questions and Answers

I’m going to leave this section for questions for you guys, so if you have questions, I’m pretty sure you can reply to this newsletter or drop stuff in the comments.

There’s a lot of projects being posted in our project display threads. The top five are:

  1. Twitter connected agents. TL;DR: Twitter spam bots, but funny. You gotta read this one in the thread.

  2. Agentic Use Cases - lots of people are asking for this and community member u/_pdp_ has compiled these into a list.

  3. A UI for locally deployed agents. This is a new space, so we’ll see how this goes. Read more in the thread.

  4. No other projects were upvoted so we’ll cut it off at three
